Parker, 41, of 58 Valentine established artist for died Wednesday at worked in pencil, pen and wink, acrylic, and prismacolor, and whis canvases were exhibited at galleries in New York City. trademark was bold and invigorating colors, and he was wellknown for his portraits, including of singer Barbra Streisand. He also painted an eight-foot long landscape, "View of Central which was commissioned by a group of New York attorneys.

Parker's work was shown locally in the Top of the Campus Cultural Center at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, BaysWest in Springfield, Showcase Cinemas in West Springfield, and, most recently, the Agawam Public Library. A Union-News news feature on Nov. 1 featured his work at the library. He was a freelance portrait photographer, and had his work exhibited on many occasions. He did a great deal of work with photographer Susan Schacter in New York City.

From 1987 to 1990, he worked in Le Train Blue Restaurant at Bloomingdale's Department Store. Born in Springfield, he grew up in Agawam, and was a 1969 graduate of Agawam High School. He worked the Granby firm from 1976. He most recently supervised the construction of the Village Commons in South Hadley, which includes several stores, a bank, and film theater. Born in Hatfield, he lived here for many years, and was a communicant of Holy Rosary Chruch. She was active in the Wilbraham United Church Nursery School, in local Cub Scouting, and with the Springfield Library and Museums Association. In the 1970s, she worked for Creative Pastimes in East Longmeadow. She was a medical technician for Dr. George Steel, and had worked at the old Springfield Fire Marine Insurance Co. Born in Springfield, she was a 1941 graduate of the former Classical High School.

She also attended Westbrook Junior College. She was a member of the Faculty Women's Club at Springfield College, where her husband, Allen R. Kaynor, was a professor. She lived here for many years, and worshipped at Wilbraham United Church. She was a charter member of the Society of Chirps and Burps.

Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, David A. of Montague and Richard P. of Fairfield, Iowa; two daughters, Cynthia L. Ballou of Fairfield, and Carol A. Kaynor of Fairbanks, Alaska, and three grandchildren.
