E3 aacr 30 Temperatures elsewhere By Hie Associated Press Wednesday STRATFORD Services for Mrs. Ida M. Gerl, 81, a Stratford resident, who died at 9:15 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital Ida Gerl 1 Hospice Care Unit, Marshfield, will be at 11:30 a.m.

Friday at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Stratford. The Rev. Joseph A. Grassl will officiate. Miss Florence Kaiser will be the organist for St.

Joseph's Church Choir with Lawrence Steines directing. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery, town of Eau Heine. Pallbearers will be grandsons Roger, Brian and Chris Reise and Dale, David, Dennis, Donald and Duane Willman. Visitation will be at Sauter Kundinger Funeral Home, Stratford, at 4 p.m. Thursday and until service time Friday.

A St. Joseph's Parish Council of Catholic Women rosary service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, followed by a parish prayer service at 8, both at the funeral home. She was born June 23, 1908, in the town of Eau Pleine, Marathon County, to the late John and Florence (Castonia) Carl. She attended town of Eau Pleine schools and St.

Joseph's Parochial School. She was married to Joseph G. Gerl Nov. 29, 1927, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

He died July 26, 1978. As a child, she lived in the town of Eau Pleine for 15 years. Her family then moved to Rib Lake and resided there for three years. She then returned to the town of Eau Pleine and resided there until her marriage. She and her husband farmed in the town of Frankfort from 1927-30.

They then moved to the town of Eau Pleine and farmed there until 1959. At that time, they retired from farming and moved to the village of Stratford. From 1960-77, she was employed as a custodian for the Stratford School District. For the past eight months, she had resided with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.

Charles (Rita) Reise of Unity. She had been admitted to the hospital Dec. 4. She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church, the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Stratford Senior Citizens. Besides her daughter, Rita, she is survived by one other daughter, Louise B.

Post, 73, of 812 E. Doege St. died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Friday Louise Post at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Hedding officiating. William Allen will be the soloist, and Maldon Plank will be the organist Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Troy, Dan, Kurt, Steve and David Post, Torey Howard and Mike Chesmore. Visitation will be at Hansen Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m.

Thursday and then at the church after 10 a.m. Friday. She was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Rib Falls, to the late Andrew and Amanda (Reimer) Stahnke. She attended Rib Falls School.

She was married to Walter Post July 16, 1935, in Medford. He died Jan. 21, 1976. She was raised in the Rib Falls and Athens areas. After her education, she was employed by her father in his harness shop.

After her marriage, she and her husband lived and farmed in Athens until 1943. They then moved to Marshfield where her Husband was employed by H. Ebbe Co. She was employed by Parkway Supermarket in Marshfield for several years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs- Gerald (Emilie) Chesmore and Mrs. Gerald (Bonnie) Howard, both of Marshfield; seven sons, Ronald, Kenneth, Richard and Robert, all of Marshfield, Larry of Auburn dale, James of Hewitt and Dennis with the U.S. Air Force at Mountain Home Air Base, Mountain Home, Idaho; one brother, Raymond Stahnke of Goodrich; three sisters, Mrs. Loretta Neumann and Mrs. James (Priscilla) Deubl, both of Wausau, and Mrs.

Doris Dawson of Medford; 29 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by one daughter, two brothers, one sister and one grandson. Herbert Gabe Herbert L. Gabe, 77, Neillsville, died at 9:09 a.m. Tuesday at St Joseph's Hospital where he had been admitted Jan.

Her marriage to Thomas Goodwin in 1966, in Wisconsin Rapids, ended in divorce. She was formerly a waitress at Ebbe's Lake Aire and also a bookkeeper for Rapids Disposal. She was a member of the I Can Cope group. She is also survived by one daughter, Vicky Ellie of Waupaca; her parents of Wisconsin Rapids; four brothers, Ron, Gary and Randy Larsen, all of Wisconsin Rapids, and Richard Larsen of Rudolph; and one grandson. She was predeceased by her grandparents.
