We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in patient care, clinical, and medical administrative support.

Duties:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Obtaining and documenting patient vitals/history/allergies/immunizations, and pharmacy at check-in, relaying provider instructions to patients and their family at checkout. Be able to schedule follow up visits, and diagnostic testing or administration of therapies. May assist multiple providers over the course of the week.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment. This may include, but not limited to, rooming patients, assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, preparing and cleaning the exam room between patients, and monitors daily patient office schedule to ensure patient flow and providers maintain an on-time clinic.
• Completes patient chart preparation a week prior to scheduled patient visit including prior authorizations including, but not limited to, entering all medical, social, and personal demographics, recent labs, medication lists, referral notes, past 2 recent notes, hospitalizations and/or procedures.
• Updates patient EMR including patient medication list, in-basket message maintenance, and supports the successful completion of value-based care activities, follow-ups, and external provider coordination.
• Answers phones, schedules appointments, call patient to confirm appointment and gather records, delivers the highest levels of service excellence at all times.
• Will assist local leadership with other clinical duties as assigned.

Experience:The successful candidate should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:

• At minimal 0-2 Years of clinical/administrative experience
• Basic life support techniques
• Patient care best practices
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Medication administration protocols
• Experience in working in a fast paced environment

Education:

• High School Diploma/Equivalent required
• Vocational/Technical School Certificate/Degree preferred
