Hello all, I'd like to introduce you to my little moped, a whopping 47cc of raw 2 stroke power. Union produced moped from 1959 to 1971, so not all that long. As you can see, it's not yet registered in the UK. Mopeds and motorbikes don't need MOT in The Netherlands (last time I checked anyhow) so later this year will be her first test in 48 years! I'm after a replacement rear wheel, so if anyone knows of a 19" drum braked wheel witha reasonably large sprocket, let me know! Hope to get a new exhaust next week when the Benz is in for a tweek on the stainless exhaust that has fitted.

Engine is now mostly apart, fluid drained, gaskets ordered. Surprise really that it ran so well without gaskets between carb and head! Next job is a clutch change. Amazingly all bits are available over the counter (albeit in Holland or Germany)

Love it, whatever happened to union? It reminds me of cross between an NSU quickly and a Puch MV I know it was a long time ago, but I think the quickly and the Puch both use 19" wheels - I looked into getting white walls for my Puch ms50d, I must say its a pretty machine and pretty unique here in the UK, is it geared? Keep the pictures coming

Hi, it's a two speed manual, hand change. Union continued to make push bikes, to this day as far as I know. Thanks

did you use the magic internet to get parts or were you casually at a counter in Holland ? Really cool that its manual, my 102 is full auto which is no where near as fun

The bike shouldn't be a manual, but it was an upgrade all the sportier models could have. Got my parts over the counter/internet in Holland. Does help if you speak the lingo!

Just found this thread. I do likd the look of these old mopeds. Always thought an old roadster bike with a clip on engine would be a hoot. Funny one of my neighbours was telling me the oother day that she had an NSU Quickly.
